Tasha Eichenseher (she/her/hers), MA, LPCC — Therapist and Coach

Hi, I’m Tasha Eichenseher, and I’m grateful to be at the Somatic Nature Therapy Institute to hold space for clients as they move through anxiety, depression, anger, pain, distraction, trauma, transition, and grief.

The foundation of my practice is based on the premise that humans are inherently whole and want to move toward connection, health, and wellbeing.

The therapeutic systems and modalities I’ve been inspired by and use are Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work, Gestalt, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, and ecopsychology, as well as many of the nature-based and somatic trauma skills that Katie Asmus teaches in her trainings.

I offer clients ways to experiment with and study what is and is not working in their lives, helping to guide them toward nervous system regulation, embodiment, empowerment, attunement, behavior change, and post-traumatic growth.

The therapeutic relationship itself—being in close and conscious relationship with another—is healing, creating space for experiencing secure attachment and exploring new ways of interacting and being.

I love to work outside and can meet you on the trail, as well as in person or online. EMDR work is done indoors (in person or online), but we can use nature-based tools and practices to find a sense of calm and peace, helping you to resource during the EMDR process.

I also specialize in and believe in the power of therapy and coaching intensives. The focus and intimacy of intensive therapy helps to foster trust and a sense of safety. This trust and time away from family, work, and day-to-day obligations create space for critical nervous system relaxation, allowing you to access resources you need for deeper work, as well as the restoration and internal support you need when you integrate back into daily life. I’ve seen dedicated clients work through grief and trauma during intensives, and find the strength, courage, and practical tools to make lasting, beneficial change in a short amount of time.

Prior to being a counselor, I had a 20-year career as a journalist and communications professional, which means I have been practicing deep listening and reflecting back people’s words, thoughts, feelings, and stories for two decades.

I have also taught yoga and meditation, am pursuing a yoga therapy certification, and am a former editor of Yoga Journal magazine.

I would be honored to help you find what makes you feel grounded and connected to yourself and others. Seeking a therapist (or coach) is a self-compassionate and courageous choice, and I’m here to support you along your journey.
